Donna was born on December 15, 1942 in Cuero, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Beth Hufham/Powell and Floyd Hufham. She passed away as a result from complications of heart surgery on March 5, 2016 in Fort Myers, Florida.
Donna left Lufkin after graduating from high school with two of her close friends to attend Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She soon headed to New York City where she pursued a music career and later graduated from New York University with a degree in Psychology. Donna was a very talented singer (Soloed at Carnegie Hall) and an exceptional pianist. After graduation, she moved to Florida and fell in love with the warm weather and sandy beaches. Donna loved the Florida sunshine and water. One often heard Donna say, "We are not just to believe in miracles but to depend on them". She had a sweet spirit, kind heart and loved the Lord.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Linda Hufham; nephew and wife, Jeff and Cheryl Hufham; niece and husband, Josh and Karen Fuchs and their three daughters Morgan, Alex and Katy; and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lillie B. Miles and her paternal grandfather, Thomas Joshua Miles.
Services placed in trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
