"Funeral services for Bishop F. L. Haynes, 79, of Dallas, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Saintsville Church of God in Christ in Dallas with burial in Lincoln Memorial Park in Dallas.

Bishop Haynes was born in Jewett and married Ola Mae Alexander. They moved to Denton in 1922, where he organized the St. Andrews Church of God in Christ. Haynes was serving as pastor of Haynes Chapel and Page Temple Church of God in Christ in Dallas and was bishop of the Northeast Church of God in Christ in Dallas. He was a member of the national board of trustees of the Church of God in Christ and was past vice president of the interdenominational ministerial alliance of Dallas. Bishop Haynes died Thursday in Dallas.

Survivors include his wife, Ola Mae Haynes of Dallas; four sons, Samuel B. Haynes, The Rev. Timothy Haynes, Bishop J. Nuel Haynes and Abner Haynes, all of Dallas; two daughters, Neomi Rogers and Eva Kyles, both of Dallas; a brother, Roy Haynes of Dallas; two sisters, Alphia Stewart and Omega Cole, both of California; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The body will in state at the Cedar Crest Funeral Home in Dallas and at 6 p.m. Monday at the Saintsville Church of God in Christ in Dallas.

Cedar Crest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
