James Wilburn Woodcock, 85, a resident of 44l7 l5th St., Gulfport, died at ll p.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport where he has been a patient for two days. Born in Gulfport on Feb. 20, l887, he was a retired truck driver for the city and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. GA Erkwood Woodcock; four brothers, Charles (Doc) Woodcock, Long Beach, Willey Woodcock, Luther Woodcock and Elmer Woodcock, all of Gulfport; and four sisters, Mrs. Louise Powell, Mrs. Martha Williams, Mr. Blanche Levens, all of Gulfport, and Mrs. Clara Benvenutti, Pass Christian. The funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday from the Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Sullivan, paster, officiating. Internment will be in Antioch Cemetery. Friends may call at Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport prior to service time Sunday.
