Born in Myerstown on May 12, 1946, she was the daughter of Eva Zimmerman Brubaker of Richland and the late Henry Brubaker.
Lou Ann worked as a cook for Country Faire for 10 years and also cooked at the Bahney House and Dutch Way. She also served as the Kitchen Supervisor at Gretna Glenn for several years. She attended the Lebanon God’s Missionary Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sons Dale M. Smith of Myerstown and Jesse L. husband of Rebecca A. Smith of Strausstown; brothers Richard Brubaker of Myerstown and Cleason Brubaker of Missouri; sister Shirley Ramer of Austin, PA; grandchildren Natasha, Caleb, Krystal, Jessecca and Sarah.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the God’s Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon. The viewing will be held on Monday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be at the Richland Mennonite Church Cemetery.
