IDA FREEDONIA (ALLEN) HOLLOWELL - 101, of McLemoresville, died Wednesday, June 25, at Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday June 28, at Dilday Funeral Home East Room with Brother J. D. Abbott and Brother Verdell Allen officiating. Interment was in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hollowell, daughter of the late Olonzo and Mary Abbott Allen, was born on November 15, 1906, in Benton County, She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Hollowell, who died in 1988; a son; Elvis Hollowell a daughter; Dortha Hollowell Wilson; four brothers, Frank Allen, Issac Allen, Lewis Allen, and Clyde Allen; and three sisters, Frances Woods, Susie Unstead, and Myrtle Umstead. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Johnson of Milan; two sons, Oneal (Lexie) Hollowell of Atwood and Dwain Hollowell of Trezevant; a sister-in-law, Katherine Allen of Holladay; and five grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
