Dorothy Seay Edenton, 76, of Partlow died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at her home. She was a member of Wallers Baptist Church and was the widow of John Minor Edenton Jr. She had retired as a bus driver from the Spotsylvania County school system after 22 years.

Survivors include two sons, Berkley Dale Edenton and his wife, Mary, and Doug Edenton and his wife, Renae, and a daughter, Jean Beckley and her husband, Earl, all of Partlow; five brothers, Clarence Seay, Thomas Seay and Mason Seay, all of Richmond, Michael Seay of Mechanicsville and Floyd Seay of Doswell; five sisters, Sandra Thomas of Fredericksburg, Ann Sacra of Partlow, Peggy Satterwhite of Beaverdam, Muriel Walton of Mechanicsville and Donna Skinner of Caroline County; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Terry Beckley.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at Wallers Baptist Church, with the Rev. Derick Dickins and the Rev. Todd Kube officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the church.
