Honey Grove-Funeral services for Wesley Franklin Wright, age 90, of Honey Grove, TX will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel, Honey Grove, TX. Rev. Terry Paul Cunningham and Rev. J.M. Beshirs will officiate; interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Mr. Wright passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Honey Grove Nursing Center.

Wesley Franklin Wright was born on May 29, 1925 in Green Chapel Community to Lloyd Eskell and Ada Mae (Fortenberry) Wright. He married Neva Mary (Atkins) Wright on November 12, 1949 in the Sash Community. Wesley was a farmer and enjoyed agriculture. He was later employed with the Honey Grove Independent School District for many years as a bus driver and custodian. Wesley also drove the bus to and from many athletic and band activities. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by wife Neva Wright of the home, daughters, Judy Gardner and son-in-law Larry of Ravenna, TX; Jane Bowman and son-in-law Danny of Windom, TX; Nancy Robinson of Sulphur Springs, TX; Dortha Carter and son-in-law Curtis of Honey Grove, and Joyce Faulkner and son-in-law Ken of Paris TX; son-in-law, Tim Belcher of Cuthand, TX; sister-in-law, Melba McDow and husband Jerry of Honey Grove, TX; 10 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Doris Belcher, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Killian, Chad Carter, Jason Killian, Patrick Robinson, Mike Gardner, L.C Corbett, Nate Allen, and Trey Corbett. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Free, Alton Hainline, Fred Fore, Johnny Banker, Clarice Banker, Jerry Don McDow, Carl Darwin, and Robert Darwin.

Family visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home from 6:30 – 7:30 pm.
