He was born in Peoria, Illinois, to Jean and Jack Love who preceded him in death. He had a happy childhood there growing up with his sister and only sibling, Madelyn, who survives him.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 14 years, Georgia Love; children: Keith Gaub, Raeann (Dub) Brittain, Christine Martin, Greg (Anndrea) Love, and daughter-in-law, Robyn Gaub; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Bill was a dedicated employee of the U.S. Postal Service and retired after 42 years of service, having previously served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid sports fan and was rarely seen without his St. Louis Cardinals ball cap.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with service at 11:00 a.m. at Bring's Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ. All are welcome to participate in procession to East Lawn following services, 5801 E. Grant Road, Tucson, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Peppi's House (TMC Hospice). A special thank you to the generous staff who cared for Bill during his last days.
