Heaven opened its doors and made room for a special angel on Saturday, March 5th as Florence Lurleen Woodward passed at the age of 97, in West Valley City, Utah. She had been patiently waiting for a joyous reunion with her husband AB an daughter Verna who had passed on before.
Lurleen was born in Tooele, Utah on May 17, 1918 where she was raised and was a proud graduate of Tooele High School. She was the last survivor of 11 siblings, The daughter of Willard S. and Margaret "Susan" Henwood.
She married Albert V. Woodward on November 9, 1936. They were married for 70 wonderful years until his death of December 25, 2006. Together they raised three beautiful children; Verna, Ned and Gail that gave them much joy, happiness and treasured grandchildren. Grandma always looked forward to any and all family events and outings that united her with the children.
She retired from Wagner Bag where she was proud to be a loyal employee. There has never been a person we enjoyed making happy more than Grandma. It was always a treat to hear and make her laugh. Anyone who crossed her path in the last 97 years certainly received more from her than was expected from you.
