Helen K. Hendricks, 94, of Bettendorf, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 at Senior Star, Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Friday, March 11, 2016 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Helen was born on July 28, 1921 in Davenport, the daughter of Emil and Bertha (Hanban) Koopmann. Helen Koopmann was united in marriage to Donald Hendricks on November 6, 1945 in Davenport. She was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for 29 years. In her free time she enjoyed reading, playing cards and was considered a blue ribbon baker by her family. Helen was cherished by all of her children and adored by all of her granddaughters, grandsons and great grand childern. We will miss the twinkle in her eye and her quick wit. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. But will be welcomed into the loving arms of our father. Those left to honor her memory is her sister Marge Boland, and her children Sandra (Wes) Carlson, Lynn Center, IL, Linda (Wayne) Lieneman, AZ, Gary Hendricks, Bettendorf, and Beth (Celly) Gallegos, UT, and grandchildren Lindsay Lieneman, Lesley, Joseph and John Carlson, and great grandchildren Mikayla and John Carlson. She was preceded in death by her husband, best friend, and the love of her life for 66 years, Donald Hendricks and her beloved son, Kevin Hendricks.
