Sherry Jones Edwards passed away on March 8, 2016, of cancer. Sherry was born on January 3,1936, in Malad City, Idaho, to Mary Pearl Evans and Byron Davis Jones. She was the third child born to this couple, having two sisters and a younger brother.

Sherry spent her summers on the family ranch in Island Park where, in the morning, you could look out the window and see the deer, elk and moose. Even a bear or two at times. She attended O.E. Bell Junior High and Idaho Falls High School graduating in 1954. She joined the Air Force shortly after graduating as a member of the Women's Air Force Band (WAF). She married SGT 1st Class Clyde R. Hagan and had a son, Ralph D. Hagan in 1958, while stationed in Japan. Later divorcing Clyde in Texas and marrying Airman 1st Class John B. Laws. During this union she had two daughters, Dawn Laws in 1964, while in transition to being stationed in Ankara, Turkey, and Leslie Laws in 1967, while stationed in Dugway Proving Grounds, Utah. The Laws family moved with the Air Force often and landed in Mississippi, where Sherry attended Gulf Coast Junior College completing an Associate Degree in Accounting which opened up a new avenue for her career path. She divorced John B. Laws in 1976 and moved back to Idaho Falls where she met and married Jerry Forrest Edwards in 1977. They were married for 30 plus years until the time of his passing. She retired from V-l oil in 1998 and enjoyed traveling, visiting her children and grandchildren.

Sherry is survived by her three children, Ralph D. Hagan of Vancouver, Washington; Dawn Laws Jacobs, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Leslie Laws Howard, of Pickens County, South Carolina. She has six grandchildren, four boys and two girls. In addition, she has two sisters, Eloise Jones of Idaho Falls and Doris Ann (Ronald) Bodily of Iona.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Forrest Edwards in 2011, and her parents and brother.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will meet with friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to services. A reception with refreshments will be held following the services.
