Mrs. Christeen Farmer Armstrong, 95, of Vernon Hill, VA went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2013.

She was born in Oconee County, SC on August 17, 1917, with her family later moving to Laurens, South Carolina.

She was the daughter of the late James Hoke Farmer and Lillian Wilson Farmer and was married to the late Edgar Felton Armstrong. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.

Mrs. Farmer was first married to Dessie Lee Weathers, by whom she had two children : Ernest Lee Armstrong (adopted by her late husband, Mr. Armstrong) and Kathryn Evangeline Weathers Shelton.

Surviving are one son, Ernest Lee Armstrong of Vernon Hill and one sister, Rachel Griffin of Greenwood, SC.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathryn Evangeline Weathers Shelton.
