She was born September 16, 1938, in Glennallen, Missouri, daughter of Fonnie and Margaret Charles Cobb. She and Cecil McGuire were married December 22, 1956. He passed away February 8, 2010.
Wanda was a loving wife and a gracious and sweet mother and grandmother. She worked many years as a clerk at the Dollar General Store in Jackson where she was always cheerful and willing to help. She often visited the shut-ins at the nursing homes, hospitals and Veterans Home. Her many visits and the prayers she said will long be remembered, along with her genuine, kind personality. Wanda attended the Cape County Cowboy Church in Oak Ridge, Missouri, and Cape First in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of the Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post Auxiliary #158 in Jackson.
Loving survivors include three children, Rick (Terri) McGuire, Pam (Ronnie) Kimbel and Kim (John) Jennings of Jackson; a sister, Madeline Ronne of Vibernum, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Nicole Nichols, Tyler Kimbel, Alyssa Schwartz, Blake Pohlman, Conner McKinney, Christina Meisenheimer, Matt McGuire, Josiah McGuire, Jeremiah McGuire; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Don Cobb, and a sister, Mary King.
