Theon J. Rigby, age 77, our loved and respected husband, dad and grandpa, passed away June 12th, 2004 in Bountiful, Utah. After eight strokes in nine years, each one taking its toll, Theon said, "I've had enough already! I'm giving up the fight and going home."

Theon was born to Vern and Maude Rigby in the family home in Hooper, Utah. Theon married his high school sweetheart, Norma Christensen, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Theon received great satisfaction working for the LDS church for 39 years! He was proud to have served as Ward Clerk for three separate bishoprics.

Our hearts are broken with the loss of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for his love of his family which was the light of his life.

Theon is survived by his most cherished wife, Norma, and his children, Sandra (John) Siddoway, RoLayne (Mike) Sterzer, Deborah (Rick) Holt, David Rigby, Lori (Mark) Knighton and our 'adopted' daughter, Teresa Scott. He is also survived by his sisters, Verlene (Duane) Russell, Gwen (Jerry) Allen, Janice (Ed) Ridges and by his brother, Hugh (Barbara) Rigby. Theon and Norma have a distinguished legacy of 19 grandkids and 16 great-grandkids.

A viewing will be held Tuesday evening, June 15th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lindquist Bountiful Mortuary (727 North 400 East).

The funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 16th, at the Bountiful 31st Ward Chapel (585 East Center St.) at 11:00 a.m.. There will be a viewing at the Chapel preceding the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment at the Hooper City Cemetery, 5400 South 6300 West.
