Jeffery Owens Lawson, son of Mary E. Lawson and Joe Louis Lawson, Sr., was born in Titusville, FL, July 18, 1963. He grew up in the city of his birth and attended the Brevard County Public Schools, graduating from Titusville High School in 1981.
Jeffery accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. C. D. Dixon of St. James AME Church and was active in the Young People's Department.
After graduating from high school, "Sleepee", as he was well known to others, attended Brevard Community College where he received several certificates. He enjoyed and was involved in many sports, playing baseball, football, and basketball, all of which he truly loved.
He was employed in the construction industry as an Apprentice.
Jeffery was called to rest on Monday, February 13, 2006. Those left to cherish his memory include a loving son, Jeffrey Lamar Lawson, his loving and devoted mother, Mary E.
