She married Girardeau Lorenzo Henderson on December 21, 1968, in Titusville, FL. Cynthia graduated from Titusville High School in 1969 and the Gulf Coast Community College in 1987 where she received an Associate in Arts Degree.
She was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church in Lynn Haven, Florida, but for the past several years regularly attended the Greater Bethel AME Church in Panama City, FL.
Cynthia worked primarily in jobs related to book-keeping and accounting, but later in life turned her passion into a career by becoming a certified fitness instructor. For about l5 years she was dedicated, well-respected, and admired within her chosen career. Her love of life, music and dance made Cynthia an example to be admired in the eyes of many.
An avid traveler and one who truly enjoyed life, she would describe herself as vibrant and that is how the family wishes her to be remembered.
Cynthia is survived by her parents and husband, two children: Girardeau II (Shireen) of Kissimmee,FL, and Canova of Panama City, FL; three sisters: Rachel Bell (Dennis), Julia Harvey and Theodosia Johnson (George); two uncles: James Whipple (Bernice) and Reginald Whipple (Mary Elizabeth); two sisters-in-law: Alyce Watkins and Lorraine Cole; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and numerous other family members.
Cynthia is predeceased by her mother and father-in-law, Essie M. and Roosevelt Henderson; brothers-in-law, James E. Cole and Jimmie Watkins; and sister-in-law. Lois Cole.

Visitation will be held Fri, Jan 24, 2014 from 4-5:30 pm. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Sat, Jan 25, 2014. Both services will be held at St. James AME Church, 625 Dummitt Ave., Titusville, FL 32796. Lewis-Ray Funeral Home, 1595 S.
