Eleanor, 95, 48 Walnut St., Burkettsville, died at 1:01 p.m., at Mercer County Community Hospital.

She was born to Charles and Mary K. (Chappie) George. On Aug. 22, 1933, she married Albert F. Werling who is deceased.

Surviving are four sons, James R. (Marilyn) and Edward J. (Sally), all of Burkettsville, Bernard J. (Sharon) of Springboro, and Frederick J. of Sarasota, Fla.; two daughters, Norma Jean (Sam) Moorman, Osprey, Fla., and Mary Ann of Louisville, Ky.; four brothers, Kenneth (Juanita) George and Marion (Vernita) George, all of New Madison, John George, Longwood, Fla., and Lester George, North Star; four sisters, Francis Holscher, Osgood, Rosemary Kinninger, Sidney, Bertha (Arthur) Bruening, Yorkshire, and Jean Roll, North Star; 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two brothers, Earl Jim and Lee Edward George, and three sisters, Luella George, Leoma McEldowney and Ruth Thiebeau.

She was the co-founder of Werling & Sons in Burkettsville and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Sodality, both of Burkettsville, and the Daughters of Isabella, St. Henry.

Funeral Mass was at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating.
