Lauren B. Ashley, 31, died Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Red Lion.

A public viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom 17349. Pastor Thomas E. Beck will be officiating. Interment will follow the service in St. Peter's Cemetery, Seven Valleys.

Born December 19, 1984, in Baltimore, Md., Lauren was the daughter of Steven T. Ashley and Teresa M. (Bopst) Hitt.

Lauren was the middle child of six children and along with being a "Daddy's girl", she was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and cousin. She was exceptionally intelligent and very quick-witted. You always knew where you stood with Lauren. She had always loved the beach and basking in the sun, but the last five years her greatest joy was playing with her nieces and nephew.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her stepmother, Trish Ashley; five siblings, Shannon McElroy, Brooke, Dustin, and Brandon Ashley, and Daniel Weir; one nephew, Braylon; and four nieces, Lenah, Bailey, Laynee, and Ryleigh.
