Jimmy Ellis

Jimmy Ellis of La Marque, TX passed away at Mainland Medical Center Hospital in Texas City, TX following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Roosevelt Ellis, Sr. and Pastor Rosetta Kemp Ellis. He was employed by the City of Pearland. Jimmy was a faithful member of The New Creation Body of Christ (Church of God Prophecy). He was the one to do whatever needed to be done, without having to be asked. He worked hard for everyone including his church family. Jimmy wanted the best and he wanted the best for his family as well. He lived showing his love for family, friends, and his country. Everyone will miss Jimmy.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arnold Ellis, Sr. and Ralph Ellis; sister, Debbie Marie Ellis Swindell. He is survived by his siblings, Roosevelt Ellis, Jr. (Diane), Robert Ellis, Sr. (Cassie), Curtis Ellis (Joyce), Marsha Randle (Aubrey), Darlene De Laney (Paul), Lucinda Marshall (Henry); sister in law, Dorothy Ellis; uncle, Augusta Kemp; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A Public Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2016 beginning at 5:00 PM at New Creation Body of Christ (Church of God Prophecy). A Service of Remembrance will begin at 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The Celebration of Life Services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at New Creation Body of Christ (Church of God Prophecy) 6810 Woodrow Texas City, TX 77591. Burial to follow Funeral Services at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery Hitchcock, TX.
