Eben was in the Army for three years during World War II, serving in Texas, Louisiana and France.
On October 6, 1946, Eben was married to Eva (Bayliff) Deeming and Eben adopted her six year old son, Charles (Chuck) Larry Deeming. The family lived in Buffalo Gap.
In 1973, Eben bought the Nolan Grain Elevator in Buffalo Gap and operated it for twenty years, he sold it in 1993. He spent his remaining years working on his Ranch.
Eben is survived by his son, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; one nephew, and one first cousin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva; his parents, Harry and Hazel and brother, Harry Norman.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2016, at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
