Reverend Daniel Loyd Gilbert, 82, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away March 5, 2016. He was born February 1, 1934 to Leslie and Beulah Gilbert in Oklahoma. Daniel was a member of Southgate Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 50 years. He was a devoted minister. Daniel would only listen to Gospel music. He spent most of his life servicing the Lord. Most of all Daniel enjoyed spending time with his friends, especially his granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Rev. Daniel is survived by his son, Danny Gilbert, of Prague, OK; 1 granddaughter, Amber Davis, of Springfield, MO; 2 great-grandchildren, David and Kelsey Grishman, both of Springfield, MO; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Southgate Pentecostal Holiness Church, 206 S. Janeway, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
