Alfred was born to Everett and Rose Lammey in Illinois in 1944 and raised in Modesto, California. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. He was disabled and unable to work the last several years of his life but he truly enjoyed life and was caring and generous soul to all people he met and knew.
He was preceded in death by his younger brother Joseph, his brother Frederico Guzman, sister Aurora Dembowski, nieces Bonnie Henry, Glenda Heath, Denise Guzman and brother-in-law James Holmes.
He is survived by his brothers Carroll (Doug) Lammey of Modesto, Manuel Guzman (Theresa) and Tony Guzman of Los Angeles, Ralph Guzman (Kathy) of Livermore and sister, Jennie Holmes of Fresno as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Franklin & Downs Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Lammey Family. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 7, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, McHenry Chapel 1050 McHenry Avenue in Modesto, CA. A Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 709 J Street in Modesto; burial will immediately follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
