Frank R. Angus, 74, of 1581 Pittsburgh Road, died at 11:12 pm Thursday on Franklin Hospital. Son of William J. and Wilhelmina Angus, he was born in New York, NY, June 17, 1904.
He moved with his family to Coraopolis when a young boy, and attended public schools there. He worked at Anderson Buick Motor Co. in Sewickley, then came to Franklin in 1942 to work at Joy Manufacturing Co., and he retired from the purchasing department there in 1969. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U. S. Army in the infantry. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, various Masonic bodies, the Franklin Club, and the Joy Manufacturing Club.
He married Inez L. Spackman Nov. 28, 1947, and she survives, with a son, F. Raymond Angus Jr.; a grandson, F. Raymond Angus III; granddaughter Marie Angus, all of Chester; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, David Angus and William J. Angus, and a sister, Mrs. P. A. (Jeanette) O'Connor.
