Jerry Lynn Nowlin, 73, of Memphis, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at his residence. He was a retired Communications Technician at AT&T Long Lines working 30 years. He was a faithful member of Leawood Baptist Church where he was an assistant Sunday School Director for young married class, member of the church outreach team, and coach of the girls' softball team. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, yard work, sports, chess, league bowling, and a heart for pets and animal rescue. He enjoyed sharing his faith in Jesus with others and always ready to serve his friends and family. Visitation 1-3 p.m. Thursday, March 10 with funeral service at 3 p.m. all at Leawood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by parents Troyce and Gertrude Nowlin; and one sister, LaVerne Morris. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Penny Thomas Nowlin; two daughters, Dianne Maybee (Andrew) and Sherry Roberts (John); three grandsons, Daniel, David, and Drew; two granddaughters, Michaela and Abby; sister, Pat Lowe; and brother, Billy Nowlin. Memorials to Leawood Baptist Church. Services entrusted to:
