She was educated in the Brevard County School District and Kettering High Detroit, MI.
In 1997, April gave birth to her one and only son Harold Lee Wilkes, Jr., by Harold Lee Wilkes Sr.
April worked as a Manager at the Detroit Zoo and was known in Titusville, FL for her thrift store, "Aprils Place", on Garden Street.
April had a smile that lit up the room and one of the most courageous people known. She was a fighter, full of life and loved by everyone. April would generously lend a helping hand for anyone in need and never complained about her own sicknesses. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Rhema Word Ministries.
God called April Lynn and she answered. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving son, Harold Wilkes, Jr., parents, Lynndora Davis of Titusville, FL, and Isaiah Bailey of Detroit, Michigan; a sister, Fatima L. Bailey of Houston, TX; a niece, Brianna R. Bass of Houston, TX; grandparents, Nathanial and Sport Richardson, Buddell Richardson, Rose Mary Bailey, and a host of beloved, aunts, uncles, cousin; and many, many wonderful friends.
