UNION - Robert H. Arrowood Sr. 91, formerly of 719 Thompson Blvd., died Sept. 28, 2000, at Clemson Downs Retirement Center.

A native of Cherokee County, he was the husband of Mary Hall Arrowood and the son of the late James R. And Ida Howell Arrowood.

He was a graduate of Greenwood Business College and was a retired bookkeeper for Union Oil Mill with 22 years of service. He was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Frances A. Swan of New Orleans, La. And Ann A. Whitley of Clemson; one son, Robert H. Arrowood Jr. of Miami, Fla.; one sister, Vera A. Lawson of Union; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Holcombe Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Gary Byrd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 201 S. Church St., Union, S.C. 29379.

The S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
