James Kermit Robbins, 69, of Robbins, passed away January 2, 2015, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott in Oneida. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, March 3, 1945, he was preceded in death by his father, Silas Kermit Robbins; children, Samantha Crabtree and Stephen Craig Robbins; grandmother, Essie L. Robbins; and sisters, Glenna West and Kay King. He is survived by his children, Laveeda Ellis and Jennifer Goodman, both of Knoxville, Olivia “Libby” (Audie) Shannon of Sunbright, Tabatha (Jeff) Sims, and Scotty (Amanda) Harness, both of Oneida, and Allan (Becky) Harness of the Brimstone community; grandchildren: Shiloh Shannon, Cody, and Brittany Goodman, Lacey Martin, Stevie Crabtree, Chris Harness, Keisha Robbins, Jacob Harness, and Tymberlyn Harness; great-grandchildren, Macey and Tinleigh; brothers, Victor (Wick) Robbins of Robbins, and Danny Robbins and Dennis Robbins, both of Oneida; sister, Rita Owens of Oneida; special nephew and niece, Tracey Henry, and Amy Moffette; special friends, Gloria Leach, and Bill West; and many other relatives. Graveside service was conducted January 5, at Robbins Family Cemetery. Arrangements by West-Murley Funeral Home.

Mr. James Kermit Robbins, age 69, of the Robbins Community, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott in Oneida, TN. Born on March 3, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Silas Kermit Robbins.

Besides his father, Mr. Robbins is preceded in death by his grandmother, Essie L. Robbins; two children, Samantha Crabtree and Stephen Craig Robbins; and two sisters, Glenna West and Kay King

Survivors include his children, Laveeda Ellis and Jennifer Goodman of Knoxville, Olivia (Libby) Shannon and husband Audie of Sunbright, Tabatha Sims and husband Jeff of Oneida, Allan Harness and wife Becky of the Brimstone Community, and Scotty Harness and wife Amanda of Oneida; brothers, Victor (Wick) Robbins of the Robbins community, Danny Robbins and Dennis Robbins of Oneida; one sister, Rita Owens of Oneida; grandchildren, Shiloh Shannon, Cody and Brittany Goodman, Lacey Sims Martin and husband Brandon, Stevie Crabtree, Chris Harness, Keisha Robbins, Jacob Harness and Tymberlyn Harness; great grandchildren, Macey Harness and Tinleigh Martin; a special nephew, Tracey Henry; a special niece, Amy Moffette; special friend, Gloria Leach; his best friend Bill West, and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Robbins will be laid to rest on Monday, January 5, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., in the Robbins Family Cemetery in the Brimstone Community. West-Murley Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. James Kermit Robbins.
