Anna Florence Hensley, 84, passed from this life Saturday, March 5, 2015. She was born the daughter of Alvin Dillard & Ida Maude (Bruner) Hamon at Ralston, Oklahoma. Anna graduated from Prairie Valley High School in 1950. She received her bachelor's degree from Central State University in 1972. Anna was a very active member of Shartel Church of God. She married Victor Hensley, and together, they owned and operated a painting business. Anna was a volunteer for Frontier Hospice for five years and also worked in voting registration. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, gardening, canning, and reading. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor Hensley; sisters, Ethel DeGiuisti, Edna Barlow, and Edith Taber; and brother, Floyd Hamon. She leaves precious memories with four sisters, Juanita Dodson, Dorothy Morrow, Ella Stiffler, and Wilberta Wilkerson & husband Jim; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Shartel Church of God. Friends may leave their condolences at www.vondelsmithmortuary.com
