Anthony L. Fisher, 90, of Swissvale, died Saturday, March 5, 2016. Anthony was born Sep. 8, 1925, in Swissvale, a son of Anthony and Madeiline (McGuirk) Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Madeiline Singer; and an aunt, Margaret "Peg" Anderson. He is survived by his wife Rita A. (Russo) Fisher; his sons, Anthony L. (Catherine Rena) Fisher III, of Bethel Park, David R. (Whitney), of Irwin, Daniel J. (Linda), of Oakdale, and Patrick J. (Lisa), of Liberty; and eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the Swissvale American Legion and Knights of Columbus. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Florida Power Co. as a nuclear power technician.

Friends will be received at from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREAMTION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, 412-678-6177). A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark Church, Liberty. A burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
