He was born June 20, 1932, in Fort Smith to the late Charles and Naomi Allen.
He attended Fort Smith High School, was a Korean War veteran, a self-employed draftsman and artist as well as an avid birdwatcher and outdoor enthusiast.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, at the U.S. National Cemetery pavilion in Fort Smith. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Bill is survived by his wife, Betty Northen Allen of the home; his son, Kirk Allen of Broken Arrow; and two grandchildren, Evan Allen of Mt. Holly, N.J., and Evette Allen of Fayetteville.
