Aberdeen - Mae Robertson, 71, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016, at her residence in Aberdeen. She was born in Quincy, MS, on February 8, 1945, to the late Irvin and Thelma Inez Blaylock Dodd.
Mae attended school in Greenwood Springs, MS. She was one of eight siblings in her family and she was the matriarch figure, whose advice was always sought after. She was a one-of-a-kind woman, who loved her family. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a hard worker and went to work as a Seamstress in Garment industry. She was giving, and she also worked on the side as a caregiver for her family members and friends when they were sick or needed help. Everyone knew where she stood and she was vocal about her opinions. During her life, she would tell you she was blessed with many children and step children as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed family time, traveling to the casinos, and watching her favorite TV shows such as The Young and The Restless, American Idol and the Bold and the Beautiful. She liked to listen to Kid Rock, Eric Church and Country Music. She will be missed greatly by all that knew her.
