He was preceded in death by his parents. He attended West Side Christian Church and Calvary Church. He loved helping others and was always willing to lend a hand. He was a certified Mechanic, and enjoyed spending time with his family and going to his grandchildren's events. He retired from the Illinois Department of Public Health where he worked in the Immunization Record Division. Woody was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era as a EOD Specialist.
