Douglas Reynolds, Sr., 93, of Danville, died on March 4, 2016 at Roman Eagle Rehab Center. He was born on September 14, 1922, in Pittsylvania County, to Ford Cephus Reynolds and Nannie Blanch Hammock Reynolds. He worked as a Carpenter for John Daniels Construction. He served in the United States Army during WWII.
He is survived; two daughters, Nannie Katherine Sykes and Dorothy Reynolds McDowell; step-daughter, Lily Lakey; step-son, James Meeks; Many grandchildren and great grand children. He was also predeceased by former wives, Mary Berkshire Reynolds and Loriane Meeks Reynolds; son, Douglas Reynolds, Jr.; brothers, Dewey Reynolds, Darrell Reynolds, Alaska Reynolds, William Shirley Reynolds; sisters, Alvie Holt, Nannie Dixon, Maude Trent, Lonnie Fox; a great-grandchild; a step-daughter.
Interment will be at Highland Burial Park.
