Rosa L. Steele, wife of Isaac Nevett Steele, died at her home at 14 West Madison Street, Baltimore at the age of 68. Mrs. Steele was born in Frederick, MD and was the daughter of John Nelson who was United States Attorny General during the administration of President Tyler.
Soon after Rosa Nelson grew up, she was married to the late John L. Davis and was left a widow at the age of 20. Some years later in 1849, she married Issac Nevett Steele, son of James Steele and Mary Nevett Steele of the Eastern Shore and Annapolis, MD.
