Mark H. Stone, 92, of Evansville passed away at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Good Samaritan Home.
Mark was born September 3, 1923 in Owensville, Ind., the son of the late Clarence and Pearl (Knowles) Stone. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Mark had worked in retail sales at K-Mart. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Poseyville Masonic Lodge #632, Hadi Shrine, VFW, DAV and Kentucky Colonels. Mark was a fan of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and especially loved watching Kentucky Wildcats Basketball.
He is survived by sister, Betty Rittenour; great-niece and loving caregiver, Missy Hudson and her children,
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Kay Scott, Hoyt Stone and Marysnow Todd.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville with Pastor Don Gray officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon tuesday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
