Mr. Bennett, 56, of Freehold Township, died Sept. 11 at home. He worked in the home-building industry for many years, and was a 1973 graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford (with campuses now in Madison and Teaneck). Mr. Bennett was predeceased in March by his father, John "Pete" Bennett. Surviving are his mother, Helen Bennett of Freehold Township; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ronald and Valerie Bennett of Jackson, Jeffrey and Janet Bennett of Ocean Township, and Scott Bennett of Freehold Township; two nieces, Megan and Cassie; and a nephew, Ryan. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township
