Jessie Mae Terry Hubbard, 85, of Amarillo died peacefully Friday, February 26, 2016.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 29, 2016 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, officiated by Glenn Walton, with a private burial following. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jessie was born the baby of 15 children on January 27, 1931 in Shamrock. She married R.C. Hubbard on December 31, 1949 in Wellington. The couple made their home in Amarillo. Jessie loved people and was involved in mentoring, teaching Bible classes, and volunteering at church. She also volunteered at the Hilltop Senior Citizens Center. She loved her family most of all and looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jessie was a member of North Amarillo Church of Christ for many years and later Bell Avenue Church of Christ.

Jessie was preceded in death by her mother, 9 brothers, 4 sisters, and her loving nephew Pete Cousins, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, R.C. Hubbard, one sister Ruth Ellen Cole of Locust Grove, GA, 3 children, Bob Hubbard, Mary Powell, and Al Hubbard, 5 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews.
