Mr. Benjamin Franklin "Benny" Perry, age 84, of Trion, GA died Friday, March 04, 2016 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Perry was born March 25, 1931, the son of the late William Posey Perry and Alice Perry. He was owner and operator of Benny's Tri-Sum Foods for many years. Mr. Perry was a member of the Trion Masonic Lodge # 160, and the Yaarab Shriners Temple. He was a member of Trion United Methodist Church. Mr. Perry was former Mayor of the Town of Trion and former member and chairman of the Trion City School Board. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Duncan Perry and a daughter, Benjie Perry.

Mr. Perry is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mike Klouda; sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Deana Perry, and Lamar Logan; grandchildren, Perry Klouda, Benjie Klouda, Murphy Klouda, and Benjamin Perry.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Trion United Methodist Church with Rev. Art Graves and Rev. Skip Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery with graveside Masonic rites conducted by Masonic Lodge #160 . Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Woodard, Kyle Hall, Tim Thompson, L. E. Day, Jimmy Rosato, Tab Gable, Perry Klouda, and Murphy Klouda. Honorary pallbearers will be Brimp Warren, Bill Kinsey, Jack Allen, Mitchell Ollis, members of the Masonic Lodge #160, and all personal friends.

Mr. Perry will be in state at Trion United Methodist Church and the family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 12:00 noon until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request memorials be made to Angel Tree of Trion School, the American Kidney Association, or to your favorite charitable organization.
