PLYMOUTH - Daniel J. Woolley, age 78, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth. Daniel was born on June 26, 1937 in Plymouth, Indiana to Richard “Dick” and Florence Z. (Morlock) Woolley. On June 2, 1962 Daniel married the former Clara V. Logan in a ceremony at the First Baptist Church in Warren, Indiana. Daniel graduated from Plymouth Lincoln High School with the class of 1955. His higher education was a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering in 1960 at Chicago Technical College. He has been active in Sigma Phi Delta Fraternity since 1958. He was also a proud member of the Indiana National Guard. Daniel worked in mechanical HVAC designer for Alves O'Keefe, Architect, of Plymouth, William Wilcockson, Architect, of Plymouth and Lumm Engineers, of South Bend, Indiana. One of Daniel's most notable projects was the Centennial Park Signage. He was also spotted popping popcorn at the Rees Theater for the opening of “Gone with the Wind” and working at Skinner's Drug Store soda fountain in Plymouth. Daniel's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Clara Woolley of Plymouth; their daughter, Jacqueline (Woolley) and David Black of Lakewood, Ohio; his sister, Barbara and Russell Ulery of Culver, Indiana, sisters-in-law, Thelma Woolley of Plymouth, Indiana, Nancy and Miles Jones of South Bend, Indiana; also surviving are many nieces and nephews, Steve and Diana Woolley of Syracuse, Indiana, David and Sally Jones of Antwerp, Ohio, Christine Rodgers of Plymouth, Indiana, Jon Ulery of Westville, Indiana, Martha Hollett of South Bend, Indiana.

Daniel is preceded in passing by his parents, brothers, Mark Woolley and James Woolley. The Van Gilder Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for the Woolley family. A Funeral service in honor of Daniel will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 425 S. Michigan Street Plymouth, Indiana, 46563 with the Pastor Mark Need officiating. Burial will follow the service in the New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth, Indiana. A time of visiting with the Woolley family will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the church on Monday morning in the Trinity United Methodist Church, 425 S. Michigan Street Plymouth, Indiana 46563.
