James Ernest Jackson, 73 of Monroe GA and Sylvia Lake died on Mar. 1, 2016 at home in Monroe, GA.
He is survived by his wife, Katrena, 70; brother, Jon, 79; son Jeffery, 50; daughter Tamara, 46.
Jim was born in Gouverneur, son of Richard Jackson and Rosalyn Storrin Jackson in 1942. He graduated from Gouverneur H.S. in 1960; and from Clarkson University in 1964. He married Kathryn Tyler in 1964.
He worked for Cives Corporation for more than 40 years. He was a member of Rotary International, a lead builder for Habitat for Humanity. He served on the Sylvia Lake Association and Gouverneur Foundation boards. Jim cremated with funeral services at Tim Stewart Chapel in Lawrenceville GA. A memorial service and committal of his ashes in Gouverneur, NY in the summer.
