Father Thomas White

Mrs. Sarah Musgrave, celebrated her 107th birthday on May 4 last, died in her sleep at her home in Auburn about 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She was the oldest living inhabitant of Australia, and was a pioneer of settlement in the true sense of the term. She lived all her life in New South Wales.
Mrs. Musgrave retained a clear memory up till her death, and used to recall with enthusiasm her early experiences. She was born at Burrangong, one of Australia's first stations, where the town of Young now stands. Her Father, Thomas White, had arrived in Australia with his brother James, in 1812. Bullock drays, hostile blacks, and bushrangers ranged largely in Mrs. Musgrave's memory.
Mrs. Musgrave is survived by two sons. The funeral will leave her late residence this afternoon for Rookwood Cemetery.

*At age 96, she wrote her first book-

**Sarah Musgrave is my 3rd great aunt. She was born 7th May 1834 at Burrangong Station, Young to John White and Eliza Waterworth they were married 11th October 1833 Sydney. Sarah was married to Denis Regan in 1853 but he died in 1863, then she married Thomas Musgrave in 1865. Sarah always believed she was born in 1830 that is why all articles about her age are incorrect. Ancestry on the family is correct.
