Story excerpt: Mrs. Rebecca Watson Jacobs, formerly of Severn, N.C., died Friday, Jan. 14, 1994, in a hospital in Birmingham, Ala., after an extended illness.

Born in Severn, she was a graduate of East Carolina University and had a master's degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Jacobs of Birmingham, her mother, Mrs. Royal Watson, a brother, Parker Watson, two nieces, Stephanie and Jeanie, and one nephew, R.P. Watson, ...
