Ralph Parker, 73, of Fort Smith, passed from this life March 3, 2016 in Fort Smith.
He was born January 5, 1943, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Willie and Matrice Parker.

Ralph retired from the United States Army, following 20 years of service and two tours in Vietnam. Following his retirement from the Army, he worked for, and later retired from Sparks Hospital as an operating room orderly and in environmental services. Ralph was a member of Concord Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa Wyatt and her husband Ronnie of Alma, Arkansas; his son Lee Keller and his wife Jennifer of Van Buren, Arkansas; a sister, Mable McDonald and her husband David of Thomaston, Georgia; a brother-in law, Tom Ruth and his wife Becky of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, Roger Wyatt, Sara Ryman and her husband Jacob, Kathryn Comstock, Charity Bender and her husband John, Jesse Gurule and his wife Brandi and Amanda Strode and her husband Drew, as well as six great grandchildren, Michael Comstock, Alisha Chronister, Morgan and David Gurule, Benjamin Strode and Abigail Ryman. Ralph was also preceded by his wife Nancy, his daughter, Melissa Parker and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday, March 7, 2016 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Barling City Cemetery with military honors. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
