Bessie Mae Coffey White, age 91, of Thorn Hill, formerly of Morristown, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at her home. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" White; son, Dallas Harrell, Sr.; parents, Willis "Wid" and Lissie Reece Coffey; brothers, Amos "Bud", Walter "Skeet", Noal "Bear", Willis "Cub", and Kyle "Pap" Coffey; and sisters, Darkes "Shorty" Welch and Bobbie Beeler. Mae truly enjoyed being outdoors. She loved working in her garden, sharing cuttings from her flowers, especially her roses, and never passed an opportunity to go fishing. She is survived by her children, Johnny (Bolena) Harrell, Audrey (Douglas) Wice, Virgie (Steve) Strader, Lonnie (Wanda) Harrell, Clifton (Anita) Harrell, with whom she made her home; daughter-in-law, Linda Harrell; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dessa "Dood" Holt and Faye Satterfield; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 3rd from 5 – 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Clifton Wilmoth officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. on Friday to go in procession to Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be: Bobby Harrell, Jeff Harrell, Greg Harrell, Dallas Harrell Jr., Parlin Harrell, and Adam Harrell. Honorary pallbearers will be: Doug Wice Jr., Todd Harrell, Malcomb Beeler, and Kendall Beeler. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the charity of your choice in memory of Mae. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
