LEROY JACKSON BASS

Leroy Jackson Bass, age 90, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Central
time on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Felt Baptist Church, in Felt, Oklahoma with Rev. Ordin Hartley and Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Burial will follow in the Bertrand Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Leroy Jackson Bass was born on September 14, 1925 in Booker, Texas to Marion Edward Bass and Bertha Mamie (Heibert) Bass.

He served in the US Navy during WWII, Leroy married Mary Jo (Pillot) Bass of September 24, 1949 in Clayton, New Mexico. He worked for Cimarron County for over 30 years and was County Commissioner for four years, In addition to his parents, Leroy was Preceded in death by two brothers; Walter D. Bass and Sam Bass, a granddaughter; Kayce Bass and a great-grandson; Zack Deetz.

Wife: Mary Jo BAss of Felt, Oklahoma

1 DAUGHTER: Nona Faye Whitney and her husband Bruce of Felt, Oklahoma

2 Sons: James Carl Bass and his wife Verlene of Gruver, Texas and Daniel Clayton Bass and his wife Mendy of Felt, Oklahoam.

10 Grand-chidren, 26 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

3 Sisters: Norma Louise Vann of CAlifornia, Gladys Donita Ottinger of Boise City, Oklahoma and Doris Rae Smith of Springdale, Arkansas.

2 Brothers: Edward Dale Bass of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Herbert Clayton Bass of Farmington, New Mexico.
