MISHAWAKA - Alberta L. Emerick, 95, of S. Merrifield Ave., Mishawaka, passed away at her home on March 3rd, 2016. She was born in South Bend, Indiana, to Harry and Rachel (Rickman) Hogue on May 26th, 1920. She was preceded in death her parents, and one son, Dennis A. Emerick, along with six sisters, Mary Johnson, Daisy Mae Cooke, Florence Stoddard, Martha DeClercq, Rachel Wright and Halda Hogue. She was a cook for the Studebaker Corporation in South Bend for many years and retired from A.R.A. Corporation until her retirement. She is survived by her children: Sharon (Joseph) Kovach of Virginia, Barbara (John) Steinke of South Bend and Judy (Frank) Bevins of Osceola. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received for Alberta at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, on Sunday, March 6th, from 2 until 4 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home, with burial following at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
