Ottis N. Dahle, 71, passed away at Taylor House on February 5, 2014, from cancer.

He was born October 8, 1942 to Margrette Ann (Somdahl) Dahle and Ottis B. Dahle in West Fargo, North Dakota.

Ottis received a degree in Industrial Engineering at NDSU in Fargo.

He was employed by Super Valu Warehouse in Urbandale for 34 years until they closed. He then worked at Bondurant-Farrar CSD as a custodian/bus driver. He enjoyed the students and driving athletic teams to various activities.

Ottis enjoyed gardening and flowers, reading, watching all sports and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia; children Marlene Ruby, Michelle Dahle (Gary Rasmussen) and Daniel Dahle. Also step children Cindy (PJ) Hendrickson, Tina (Bob) Johnson, Gordon (Pat) Meyers and Judy (Jon) Jochims. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Richard (Mary) Dahle, Jon Dahle and Karl ( Jeri) Dahle.

A public Celebration of Life service will be held on February 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bondurant-Farrar High School gymnasium.

To fullfill his wishes, his body was donated to the University of Iowa.

In memory of Ottis, contributions may be made to Bondurant-Farrar Booster Club or Cross Point UMC.
