Mr. Jacks was born August 19, 1943 in San Augustine, Texas to the late Claude F. and Tina Loretha (Green) Jacks, and died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Jacks was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He attended Texas A&M University and retired from Lufkin Conroe Telephone Exchange following 35 years as a Telecommunications Engineer. Mr. Jacks was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, and he cherished his family. He loved hunting. Mr. Jacks was a member of Timberland Drive Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Pearlene Jacks; son, Randall Segrest; daughter, Debra Hester and husband Daniel; granddaughter, Kelly Hester; grandson, Aston Segrest; brother, Curtis Jacks and wife Patricia; sisters, Betty Neal and Charlotte Wood and husband A.J., Jr.; brothers-in-law, Roy Smithheart and wife Suzanne, David Smithheart and wife Gene, and Ray Smithheart; sisters-in-law, Josie Smithheart and Shirley Hollingsworth and husband Joe; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Jacks of Lufkin; and brother, David Jacks of Huntington.
