Terry Curtis James, 77, of Greenville, husband of Karen Shores James, was called home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2016.

Born in Rockford, IL, he was the son of the late Fred and Daisy Nelson James. Terry graduated from West Senior High School and attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Terry lived and worked most of his life in Rockford, retiring as District Manager for United American Insurance of Dallas. He was a very active member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. In 2003 he and Karen relocated to their lake house in Central Wisconsin where he became interested in water and land conservation. In 2014 they moved to Greenville, SC, to be closer to family.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include five children, Kathy Hawkins (John) of Colorado Springs, CO, Jana Brackett (Chuck) of Rockford, Andrea Sutcliffe (Ken) of Dallas, TX, Jody Sneed (Mike) of Rockford, and Scott James (Monica) of Greenville, SC; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Burial will be in Owen Township Cemetery.
