Jack M. Bedford, of Sellersville, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in Fox Subacute at Clara Burke, Plymouth Meeting. He was 80.

He was the beloved husband of Elva (Crouthamel) Bedford for 60 years.

Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Melvin and Lucretia (Wagner) Bedford.

Mr. Bedford had served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.

Jack had been employed as a machinist for 28 years for the former Koffels Machine Shop, North Wales. Later, he had been a machinist in quality control for Fybroc, Telford, retiring in 2000.

Jack had been very active for over 30 years with the Pennridge Little League as a coach and past President. He had also coached with the Pennridge Greenjackets, Pennridge Community League baseball team and the Quakertown Little League.

He was a long-time member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Telford, and a member and past President of the Sellersville Lions Club.

Jack was a devoted family man who attended all of his granddaughters’ sporting events and dance recitals. He had enjoyed golfing and hunting.

In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his two children: Jacqueline Ruth, and her husband, Jacob of Perkasie, and Eric Bedford, and his wife, Carol of Pennsburg. He was the devoted Pop-Pop of his two granddaughters: Samantha Bedford and her husband, Quinn Richard of Pennsburg and Tamara Bedford and her husband, Bradley Yoder of East Greenville; a brother, James R. Bedford, Sr. of Sellersville, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray B. Shaffer and a sister-in-law, Irma C. Bedford.

His Memorial Service will be held at 11:00, Saturday, March 5 in Trinity United Church of Christ, 101 South Main Street, Telford, PA 18960, where a Visitation will take place beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be conducted privately in Trinity Cemetery of Telford.
